Draw

The draw is like the fade a controlled shot, the ball will start right of the target and curve slightly left in the air and land on target. The definition for a draw is an in to out swing path with the clubface square to the target line.

It is the most desired shot in golf and is favoured by better player off the tee because a drawing ball when it lands will kick and the player will squeeze a few vital yards out of their long game.

How to play the draw

Aim the club face at your desired target

Build your stance square to the target line then close up your stance a little, (aim the body a little to the right).

Hold the club, if you hold the club before you have positioned body your clubface will return to the swing path which because you have deliberaltley positioned the body to the right a fraction will result in an in to out swing path, and if the club face will return square to the swing path you will hit a push not a draw. Hold the club last!

Swing along your body line
