How Direct golf tuition started Online Golf Lessons

This is the Brainchild of a PGA Professional who was asked by his pupils if it was possible to get a copy of their golf swing during a golf lesson.

We started out by burning their files to disc so that the pupil could go away and view their golf swing on their home computers.

After a while he was asked to email their golf swing through and to also write a summary of their previous golf lesson, as anybody who has had a golf lesson before in their life knows that the first practise sessions after a lesson are excellent and productive, but, after a while, they are seen to be hitting golf balls, stopping, scratching their head and saying in a low muttered voice "what am I thinking?" .

This system was excellent because he found that his pupils were viewing their golf swings and reading their notes before they went to practise range making their sessions positive and focused and more importantly improving quicker.

This worked extremely well and soon he got a reputation not only for his teaching techniques but also his after lesson service.

Later he improved the service as he learned more and more about how these wonderful things called ‘computers' and the Internet worked. He started to load his pupils golf swings into golf analysis software, plugged in a microphone and started to talk to his pupils directly as he was moving the mouse around the screen; comparing them to tour professionals, and fully explaining to them what was wrong and how to fix it.

The pupils could see their swings against these tour golf professionals and if ever they lost track of their thoughts they could just go to the computer find their personal golf lesson file and view their previous lesson. It was like having a professional golfer inside their computer.

Our mission

The idea is that the golfer and the PGA Professional will become friends over their time together, where they can post their golf swings and ask questions.

They will get a response not by email but during their returned online golf lesson. They can use their account pages to build up not only the PGA professionals lesson's and notes, but also the pupils' thoughts and feelings, keeping all the information to improve their golf game in one place. This is the closest thing that you can get to a PGA Professional at your beck and call.
